The Indus Trust was established in 2003, at Bangalore, in order to set up and manage full spectrum International schools affiliated to the International Baccalaureate Organization (IBO). The Board of Trustees comprises members representing varied fields such as real-estate development, information technology and consumer durables. The Indus Trust is managed by Lt. Gen (Retd) Arjun Ray, PVSM, VSM, who is the Chief Executive Officer. The first School, Indus International School, Bangalore, was established by the Indus Trust, on 14 July 2003. This school currently has about 1000 students from across 32 countries. Consequently, the Trust set up the Indus International School, Pune and Indus International School, Hyderabad in 2008. The Indus Trust has also set up the Indus International Community School, the Indus School Of Leadership and the Indus Early Learning Centre.
